Morts The cover looks like something akin to a child's attempt to emulate a Sodom album cover. The music seems to be moving away from the NWOBHM influences and concentrating more on the '80s Euro-thrash aspect, while Severing The Malignance sounds very 3 Inches Of Blood. I don't feel that this EP is nearly as strong as the eponymous debut, but is still a worthwhile listen. Favorite track: Severing the Malignance.

Pretty much the best Black/Speed Metal I've listened to since I learned about Evil Invaders and Vulture. Everything you'd love to be reminded of about this musical era is there. The influences are what you'd expect too: Motörhead, Venom, Bathory, early Slayer, Celtic Frost; aggressive vocals, tortured guitar solos, pounding drums; everything is fast, clear and still a little grimy, but without reverb cranked up to the max. PSA: if there was an album you heard a couple years ago and thought it was ok, listen to it again and you might love it. That's what happened to me with this album. I cannot fathom why it didn't stick with me back then. Same thing happened with Decoherence's Unitarity for that matter. Matten
